I just got mine done this weekend. D.I.D. chain and driven sprokets from sprocket center. I couldn't push it hard the front brakes aren't done yet should be done today but it is awesome, makes a big difference. I went -1/+2 520. I am glad I did.

so if the speedo is off by 20% then the odometer would be off by 20% too, right?
which means im gettin alot less miles per tank than i thought... whcih sux. lol

your MGP has to do with the increased RPMs after the gearing change. the % error on the speedo has nothing to do with it...cruising down the highway at 65ish the RPMs are only a few hundred higher...I dont think the change will dramatically affect miles per gallon...I personally ride my bike for fun with a heavy throttle. I do no commuting so this is not a concern to me

yea but if the speedo is off, thenwouldnt my odometer be off?
and if my odometer is off, then i really got less miles on my tank of gas than the odometer says. thats what i meant, i didnt mean the speedometer caused me to get less mpg i just meant that i got less miles than the odometer says

my bad, I thought you meant miles per gallon...you are right, the odometer will rackup the miles faster than what you actually have, meaning it will seem that you get more miles to the tank than you actually do
For those who have installed a 520 conversion kit with -1/+2 on a 2001 F4i, does the stock length, 108 link chain, fit?
The reason I ask... I installed one on my 2000 F4 and the chain was quite snug at 108 links. I know that the stock F4i rear sprocket is larger by one sprocket than the F4 and I want to ensure 108 links will work on the F4i before shortening the chain for a friend.
