on the 05 600RR what is the color coding for polarity on the rear turn signals and license plate light?
would it cause a problem if they are connected improperly ((+ to -) and (- to +) instead of (+ to +) and (- to -))
or will it just not work.
( I just got all the parts to build a fender eliminator to get rid of the hideous honda fender and when I got started on it I realized that I had no idea what leads went to what on the turn signals and the license plate light.)
I will say that I was able to purchase the
flush mount turn signals and hardware from Competition Werks for $30. I also bought some lights from 1tail.com that replace the
license plate screws for $20. They are specifically made for the license plate. I am making my own bracket for the license plate. Long story longer... I got a fender eliminator kit for $50 instead of $150. I'll post some pics when its all done. should be comeplete this weekend.

Hook up a voltmeter to the wires in question -- if it reads (-) then swap the leads and recheck -- should read (+) now. The wire on the red lead will be pos and the black neg.
Usually the color pretty wire is gonna be pos and the black or black with a white stripe will be neg but it isn't always the case. If the new rear contains LED's then getting polarity correct can be important.

I'd have to take a look to make sure, but it's easy to trace out. When you remove the tail, the plugs are all separate. You have three, turn signals and one for the license plate. And you have the stop/tail light, so I guess that makes four. Green is the ground. Orange and blue are turn signals... I forget which is left and right, but you can unplug one and turn on your signals to find out.
