Hey is the Dan Kyle map for the '06 1000RR stock pipe and stock filter better than the map at powercommander.com? If so can somebody tell me where to get it?

Thanks

load each of the maps and find out by testing them.  the maps are very different, i was just looking at them on my PC program but havent tested the dan kyle yet, but looks like it would be better throttle response compared to PC's stock map

The Dan Kyle map pulls way harder above 4k then the stock PC map. But after drilling out the stock baffles I noticed flat spots under 4k. I tested the Anubis map and it was much smoother up to 4k, but not as strong as the DK was above 4k. So I combined the two into one map and now my bike is running real nice.

What is the benefit of running the PC with the stock pipe.  I had sent a message to Dan Kyle racing about that exact question, stock pipe and power commander.  They indicated there was no gain to changing the computer only.

Sorry guy's but I would have to disagree with the statement that has been made.. I have a 07 1krr and I have put 2000 miles on it since I have bought it and just put the pc3 usb on last night. The bike is completly stock with the exception to the flapper mod, and the pc3 made a signifficant difference in the way the bike ran. The throttle response is more crisp and the power is improved as well.  I am very impressed with the way the bike performed with this mod, and I havent even tapped into the capabilities of the pc3 yet..

071KRR  what map are you running?

brendan1026  I contacted Dan Kyle Racing about a PCIII map for an '06 1000RR running a stock pipe.  I was informed they DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, have a map for the 2006 1000RR and a stock pipe.  They said they could supply the PCIII module with the DynoJet map that works with a stock pipe.

Well, I have no way of knowing if Dan Kyle made the map himself or not, but it's posted in the PCIII Maps section of this message board and it's called Dan Kyle Map. I compaired it to the stock PCIII map and it is not the same at all. I suggest giving it a try if your running the stock exhaust.
