are you talking about ebay #150118298752
Wow I never thought to check ebay for a kit and they are about 45 min drive from me
100hp upgrade on a 2 wheels is really crazy but I am a boost junky
and I paid $5500 for an APR turbo kit for my Audi A4 and that was a 160hp upgrade so total power is 346awhp and I thought it was worth it.
Have you ever heard of the company or ebay seller? If so do they do good work.?
thanks
E

Why dont you just get a Busa or zx14? Money wise it makes much more sense.
Im sure you realize that your bike will be smoking hot on the red light, right?

Do you really think that a Busa or ZX-14 will compare to a turbo 1000rr? Also, please explain why it will be smoking hot at red lights.

well i've been riding for about 7 years now. The reason I want a 1000rr turbo is no one around this seems to have one and I really can't recall ever seeing a kit until now. There is a guy around here that does busa and gsxr turbos but no one does honda. So I think its time the hondas get turbo'd and show some of these other companies a run for there money.

Just called the guys @ Cycle Logic. Talked to 2 guys named Don and Dave Jones and they were very helpful with answering questions and they told me to come into the shop to check it out and check the turbo kit out. So I think I be going there with my bike and probably dropping it off.

Its hard to compare the two categories of bikes. On the track the RR will whoop butt, on a straight line (drag style) the RR will eat some dust. The Busa has a lot of low and mid range torque and if the turbo will bring up the same potential to the RR it will launch into 12oclock with the same flick of the hand. Yes, the RR with turbo will be a fierce machine no doubting that. However, I believe it will not be able to hold the front end down easily with a power booster such as the turbo. The bike is too light to have 180+hp at the rear.
Turbos will produce more power, more power will result in more heat. Also, it will generate higher back pressure from exhaust and will result in even more heat. Thats why I said it will be smoking hot.

Well gentleman, I got my bike back finally today. Bike sat at the Cycle Logic done for almost a month a half because I needed to go out of the country. Anyway bike is BAD ASS so much fun but about the most scariest ******g thing a have ever ridin. I actually took a 2 hour lunch today and went crusiung around town before going back to work. I have a dyno sheet but I need to scan it so I'll get that done later. It pulled 249rwhp @ 8.5psi and 112ft/lbs. also got some pics but I will get that done tonight. I had to tell you all about it now because I just picked it and took a ride. Didn't really wanted to go back to work but I have all night to ride. Talk to you guys later

With the stock setup you still may have trouble beating these bikes in the 1/4, even with a turbo. Good 1/4 mile times depend on smooth continuous application of power, something a turbo has trouble doing. If your bike is set up for monster peak HP over a narrow range of RPM, you'll constantly be on and off the throttle the entire 1/4 mile. I saw a show with a car that was like this. It had some insane HP figures, but watching it go down the 1/4 mile was an amazing illustration of how peak HP doesn't win drag races.

You are right when applying the concept of turbocharging to cars. On most turbo'd bikes though, the turbo is so small that it spools virtually instantly, and the powerband is pretty broad. I've seen some vids of Cycle Logic's turbo 1000RRs and they're pretty f'ing fast at the strip, and I think I remember seeing a dyno sheet too at some point, but I don't remember exactly where peak power was made. But the powerband
was linear enough that the bike was scary fast.

And I still think my bike is fast, that just puts me to shame. Great looking bike man, be careful with it.

With a fairly linear power delivery and that giant swingarm, the stock Busa or ZX-14 shouldn't be a problem. That thing looks mean. Just the airbox is enough to scare me...
