Good morning, I'm thinking of buying a 1989 CBR and I'm curious to know what your thoughts are about it.
Thanks

Excellent bike, do you have any information or pictures specific to the one you are looking at buying?

LOL. Ok. 8K miles, thats low, so that is good, but that could also mean it has been sitting for a while which can result in gunky carbs and/or rusty fuel tank. Is it running? Have you seen it personally or ridden it?

I havenet persoanlly seen it yet, but th epics look pretty good. i was thinking about the carbs though. does that mean i have to have them jetted?

No. The carbs only need to be jetted if you are modifying your bike for more air and fuel. Like if you put on an exhaust and drilled the airbox for better flow, then you can add more fuel to compensate for the extra air. If the carbs are dirty they will have to be taken apart and cleaned. You can always try some carb/injector cleaner, but if it has been sitting it would be best to clean them.
