just got this bike its great and dam fast but i have a rattle noise in motor pulled valve cover off and cam chain is very tight no play at all in chain.bike has 57,000 miles.the noise is there all the time.the person i got the bike from had all paper work for recent valve adjustment and carb rebuild.please help do not want to blow up the motor thank you.jeremy

Sounds like your camchain tensioner has given up, but the rattle could be many things........
Come on down to the Hurricane Forum, and let's see what we can do to help you.....
Oh, and there should be no play in your camchain, so that's fine.

pulled the motor top cover and the camchain has no play at all bike has 58,000 miles and runs great.not sure how to check the camchain all i looked for was a lot of play in the chain could not move the chain at all.the bike rattles al the time hot or cold seems to be more loud on take off when leaving stop lights.but dose rattle all the time any help would be great thank you jeremy..

sorry forgot to tell you that the rattle is from the bottom end front of the motor thank you jeremy
