2007-2008 - ANYONE HAVE AN AFTERMARKET PAINT JOB???

I'LL BE PAINTING MY 2007 600RR IN A MONTH BUT I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS GONE THIS ROUTE AS WELL WITH AN AFTERMARKET PAINT JOB ON A 2007/2008 600RR. IF SO PLEASE POST PICS...CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT OTHER FORUM MEMBERS HAVE DONE TO THEIR BIKES.

BY THE WAY......NOT PAINTING CAUSE I HAVE TO....PAINTING CAUSE I WANT TO...BIKE IS AS CLEAN AS IT WAS THE DAY I BOUGHT HER...NOT DROPPED YET....

I am painting mine in about a week or two. I have not dropped it yet either, I just dont like having the same bike as other people. I am painting it PERFORMANCE YELLOW. What you think?

I THINK YOU SHOULD PAINT YOUR BIKE TO LOOK LIKE A BIG CAPS LOCK KEY SINCE YOU LIKE IT SO MUCH!!! j/k :p

What color scheme is your bike and what do you plan to go to?

I'm going to a local shop here in san jose, ca. - i'm going to go with a charcoal grey and black combination like on the 06 1000rr and thinking about keeping the stock theme...as far as stickers....

So you're getting a custom paint job to make your bike look different, but you're getting another stock paint scheme from a different year?

Ha... If you want it to be different, then paint it green, or red, or blue... oh wait sport bikes are already all of these colors. J/p. I have seen some custom paint jobs and they look cool, especially if you go with a solid pearl or iridescent. Honestly though you are only subjecting yourself to increased anger when you get a rock chip, and much increased expense if you were to scuff it. Powdercoat the wheels and change the stickers, and put the rest into ss lines, pads, levers, pipe, pc... and all the other goodies that make your bike perform better, not look better. The real fun is getting it dirty with your knees down, not cleaning it for your friends to admire.

flat black, murder it out...

This is my custom paint. I had a bit of an "incident" that required it but it turned out pretty good. It''s a House of Kolor custom paint. I painted all the flat black plastic pieces gloss black as well.
