Hi there
New to this site and looks great.
I've been riding motorcross 250's for a long time and just picked up a 06 CBR 600RR this July and put on 6000km this summer and love every minute I on her.
My question is I've alway had a hard time picking up the front tire and I can't seem to get this bike up.
What would you go with 525 kit or 520 ?

Well you wont really change much by doing that. They come with 525 chains if I recall correctly. You're looking for different size sprockets. Although if you cant get the front tire up on a 06 rr then somethings wrong.

Mine has stock gearing and comes up just fine. No need to spend money on chains to do wheelies.....

leave the wheelies to the stunt riders and off the streets.
a 520 isn't going to give you much anyway. weight savings at the most. it's the gearing that makes the difference. you could go 530 and still get the front wheel off the ground... so long as you increase the final drive ratio.

i dont think this conversion is worth just to raise the front. you can easily lift up the front on the rr. you might not be gunning it hard enough.
dont be gentle, just do it

Ok They did not help... Get A 520 -1+2 sprocket up kit from Driven.. Thats 1 tooth down in the front, and 2 teeth up in the rear sprocket,, This will open up that CBR..
Sofar im more quicker then the stock 1000s well with what i have got..
and i only have the 03cbr

yeah on the straights once the 1KRR gets in the powerband you might as well stop
in the twisties yeah id bet on the 600 if the riders were of equal skill though.
thats why i have both

I was down at a track that was haveing a track day started talking with a few riders and a -1 +2 set up was mostly a track set up. They said it freed up the bike alot and was the bigest bang for your buck.
A few even said that Honda put them out with the OEM sprocket so that the average ride could ride safer ?
