Hey i have a 02 f4i and i just bought the eurodezigns headlights, well they sent me the 8500K H7 bulbs. Will this work or should i return it for the 6000K H7 bulbs?

They'll work -- just a different hue.

what about 4000 bluevision's? How to they compare to the stock lights?

If they're not a true HID bulb (ballast and igniter) then you're just getting a tinted bulb that mimics the color of a HID of a certain heat range. A lot of these bulbs do put out more light than the stock bulbs but would be put to shame by a true HID. Of course they only cost a fraction of HID bulbs and are a direct replacement (read: no farting around trying to find a place to fit the things). The only thing I suggest is to make sure the bulb you use doesn't pull more than 55W.

I have the 8500k bulbs on my 01 F4i and they are great. Bright, and blue but not too blue. Dont know if they are brighter than stock- but the blue/white tint seems to make night riding a whole lot nicer for me- and when the high beam is on, wow. The bulbs looks very similar to the actual HID lights on my dads BMW. Love em.

Yeah the bulbs i got are same as service manual specs. 12V 55 Watts. I haven't gotten around to putting them in hopefully in the next couple of weeks. When you said direct replacement, you mean that i just pull the old ones out and replace with the new right?

Ya -- they go in just like the old ones come out.

Sweet, I'll be following the service manual when I do the switch. Will i need to remove the upper fairing to put in the bulbs or can i do it without removing it, because from the look of it i can reach them without having to remove it.

Thanks

You shouldn't have to remove any plastics -- I'm not really familiar with the F4i but it should be similar to the RR. Pull the plug, remove the rubber boot, push the retainer wire in and to the side then it'll hinge down, remove bulb. E-Z . The bulb may be attached to another piece -- a screwdriver can be used to seperate them. ****Don't forget to use alcohol to clean the new bulbs before installing ... oil and dirt on the bulb can cause hot spots and make the bulb blow****

Well in the service manual it says to remove the air duct covers when you want to replace the bulbs. Its not very clear why, so I might give it a shot without removing the duct cover and if i run into problems i'll go back to the manual.

I can't get my hands on pure alcohol since i'm in a Muslim country and alsohol is banned here. Can i use gin or whiskey as an alternative?

Thanks,
TooL

Don't use anything that'll get your hands (or worse) chopped off. Vinegar would prolly do just as well. Make sure it's dry before lighting it up. And like I said, I'm not very familiar with the F4i's so you may have to do extra stuff -- always follow the service manual's instructions -- unless it says to torque 6mm rotor bolts to 14 ft/lbs -- don't do that -- it's wrong

Haha, it's not that bad in the UAE (chop chop) worse i'd get is a month in the can. You can buy booze (you need a license and not be Muslim) here its just alcohol that they sell at pharmacy's around the world that's banned here (i think people actually try to drink it and end up burning a hole in their stomach). I'll make sure i read through the service manual properly before i go at it, but thanks for the advice.
