stock exhaust doesn't look too hot, i know, but i'm not made of money, so hopefully a new exhaust soon. the pics would have looked better if i had the back seat on, but i had some silicone setting on the tail light.

Love the license plate.

I like the integrated tail light on the bike. Say, how recently have you checked the condition of the ball joints on your truck?

"Love the license plate."
thanks, that kit mounts it just right without tucking it too much, so that's why i chose it.
"Say, how recently have you checked the condition of the ball joints on your truck?"
the truck sits on airbags, so it probably looks a bit funny right now at that angle since it's "squatting."

Where did you get the tail from? Looks Hot!!!!

the tail is bone stock, but the fender was removed and replaced with the tripageled.com's fender eliminator kit. this kit wasn't made for the stock exhaust, which is what i have, but it looks a hell of a lot better now than it did. i still have the heat shields on there, so it kind of looks stupid up close, but from a distance it looks pretty sweet.
fyi, this fender eliminator kit also has the mount bracket to tuck the plate and a rear hugger that has led lights in it to illuminate the plate, which i think is pretty trick.

^^^when i said it wasn't made for the stock exhaust, i meant that it fits just fine, but looks way better with after market exhaust.

Ok, so the integrated lights just screw in the tail or what?
Sorry if it seems like a noob question or something, just really interested in it, and cant figure it out.

no, you have to cut away the tail to install it. it's the 05-06 taillight, but it's been modified to fit in that part of the tail section (after it's cut). the blinkers are integrated into it too.

ohhh, alright. It looks awesome. I think i would be rather scared to cut my tail though. You do yours yourself?

nope, i had someone else do it. i'm not mechanically inclined, let alone confident enought to cut my own bike....i can barely set the radio stations in my car

nice pit in ur sig. Like the front signals. I would suggest cutting the heat shield closer to the fender for a cleaner look till u get an exaust. I got a dremmel and did it myself and it looks so much better. Nice bike

Yup, definitely cut or lose the heat shield, polish that pipe up, and don't worry about it!!!

You have all sorts of sweet stuff on all your rides then. Nice job....

so i can just get rid of the heat shield all together? doesn't it serve a purpose? i was scared to cut it along the plastic because i thought that everything under and around the back seat would melt or warp. is this not the case? i have no problem cutting that myself, but just thought it had to stay on there until i got different exhaust, no? what is the best thing to use for cutting it (dremmel, tin shears...)?
btw, chris thanks for the compliment on the pit. he's one of my 3 kids.

I love pits, they get such a bad rap, but most of them are good dogs. I had a boxer for years and they remind me of it.

To answer your question, i'm not the only one that's simply removed the heat shield---and no one i know of has had any problem. It will be hotter for anyone sitting on the back, but i've been checking regularly and i've had no issues with anything melting or getting to hot.
