I watched an hour documentary on discovery HD the other day. If that doesn't put a change in the weather pattern i dunno what will.  And ya, detonated in the sky, i think its called atmospheric testing.  Detonated like 200-500 feet above the ground.

These were done at a fairly high altitude, some were ground burst. some were actually at near orbit altitudes.
 
Yeah, they didn't give a damn about poisoning us obviously.

Those are damn scary looking mushroom clouds. I pray I would never have to see one, ever. Those vortexes were crazy.
