I just like oem fit and finish better, plus i'm a perfectionist, and i don't think it will turn out the way i like it. Don't get me wrong i think it looks good, but it's just not the route I want to go.

i like how it looks, except the gap between the lowers and the tank. that is the only turn off of swapping lowers for me. i dont mind the shape of stock, i rather like it, its just the blunt nose and headlight that i dont like. i want to do a upper mod and maybe combine two uppers to change the shape, but keep the mounts the same.

It's actuall a 94 f2 upper mixed with an r6, it looks crazy, i can't wait to see it finished. I want to go a similar route like his, only with an rr swingarm, an r1 style tail, and a stock/gixxer upper. Maybe with a candy green powdercoated frame, gixxer forks, and black paint with green flake. what are you thinkin rrasco?

I think it looks good, its one of a kind. I think you should keep as is.

that would be awesome, if that is what you want, i say go for it. if you have the resources, energy, and experience to pull it off, DO IT! i thought about getting an RR swingarm and seeing if i could make it fit, but i just dont have the energy. i am going to be buying one here in the next year anyway....hopefully anywho.
this is the one i thought you were talking about, i had not seen rsp919's yet.
http://www.cbrforum.com/m_161501/tm.htm rsp919's bike is coming along sick though, i love the swingarm and the frame. i want to take my bike completely apart and get my frame powdercoated, but i dont know if i could get the WHOLE bike back togethor. we will see what happens, i have a new neighbor who works on bikes, he actually just got his 600RR track bike back, so maybe there is hope. he did a really good job with that exhaust too, doesnt still out all bunk like some others i have seen. i wanted to put the RR exhaust on mine when i do the tail swap, but abandoned for fear of failure and not to mention the cost associated. i have way too many projects going right now.

The RR swing arm take MAJOR frame mods. I started on it but decided to just do the f3 swing arm instead. I am now in the prcess of mounting the f4 sub fram for the tail swap.

Thanks for the comments guys. I do like the way it looks, but there are gaps that I hate. another problem is, with this plastic my guages will not fit in there, and you can see right inside my front fairing. i don't know which way i will go in the way of the swingarm. I just wanted at least a 180 series tire on the back. My dad is an R&D machinist for a living so the machining of the frame and swingarm will not be a problem. I still can't decide if I want the 900rr tail so it will match the girth of the stock hurricane plastic. I will keep you guys posted as this progresses, and if anyone wants to trade i will give it all except for the tank. even the flush mounts that are on there. you would have to make your own upper mounts, mine are just two bent pieces of aluminum. and two tail mounts, or you can have my mounts but i warn you they are not pretty. I was going to weld up a custom subframe, but now my plans have changed.
