Am I the only one who thinks the price of paint for plastics is rediculous? I just checked a web-site my buddy gave me to order paint for my fairings from
www.colorrite.com (he says they are the most reasonable and accurate for color match. The base coat cost per quart is 169 dollars and the same for a quart of top coat which they say is the equivalent amount to paint only a front fairing tail fairing and gas tank.
Does anyone know where I could get a better deal than this? I think I might roll the primer look for a while if this is the case.

O.k. seriously.....
You really don't think there is any "in between" between rattle can and $169 a quart?

I got some repairs and paint work done at Maaco. They fixed a big tear in my front fairing and painted the front, side fairings and the gas tank for $500. I know it sounds pricey but they did a really good job. Maybe you could take it to them and ask them what they would charge for the job your asking. I'm sure if you brought them another comparison price, they'd be pretty resonable.
check the local shops i got my tank, all of my plastics & undertail painted for $450.00 i had to take it all apart but they supplied paint and everything

Get the new clear fairings and paint the underside with krylon paint.

I just had some peices painted fadeless white. It was $60 a quart through my local body shop. The brand of paint they used was Glasshouse (no sure about the correct spelling for that brand)

Yeah buying matching paint colors is so much more expensive than regular good quality HOK paint. its pretty rediculous
