Iv been wanting to get a different can but dont want to spend 200+ dollars just to change the sound(or 200+ for 1-4hp). Iv been thinking about cutting out the metal inside the tip so there will be just a big hole in the end instead of the little hole inside the tip. Im not looking to be real loud. Just a deeper tone and little louder.

Don't do it -- you will lose hp by cutting out the baffles ... honest. The sound will be tinney and high pitched along with a noticeable drop in low end torque and max hp. Try checking e-bay for a decent used system at a reasonable price.

If you want something that has more volume, looks nice, will last, and increase power then go with a decent slip-on for around $300. It's a good investment in the long run.

On a 94 900RR I did that years & years ago. There are like 4 chambers in there that you have to cut out (which takes time) & then you have to weld it (which takes money). I would rather leave it alone or sell it on eBay (not sure how much you will get though) and put the proceeds toward a real system. In my opinion (& as I have been told), only complete systems are worth putting on because they alone give you increased torque & hp. Just look for a used system.
