I ride year round and have always heard that heated grips make a night and day difference in comfort. Has anyone installed them on their CBR and if so, what type of grips/heaters did you use?

Buy some better gloves -- we just don't have enough juice from the stator to be running heated grips. Output from the regulator is only 344W @ 5000 RPM and if you're running both lights you're already eating up 110W. I suggest the Tourmaster Winter Elite gloves -- they're the warmest thing I ever put my fingers in ... well, second warmest anyways

Most of the heated grip kits I've seen only draw 20 watts. I just hate thick winter gloves, plus they don't offer the protection my Helds do.

Chain, I am just curious what was the warmest if the gloves were the 2nd, LOL. You dont have to answer just liked your comment.

Well, I don't park it in the winter like some whimps do, I ride year round, and comfort is king!

I hear ya -- I ride in the rain and cold also. A bad day on two wheels is better than a great day on four. I've also heard that the heated vest will do more for you than the grips. If I had to go more than 50miles to work then I'd look into a battery powered vest but so far the gloves do the trick down to 17F.
