Bad motorcycle accident caught on video.......

Here is the story:

MEXICO CITY (Hollywood Reporter) - Mexican television actor Edgar Ponce died Thursday after a car plowed into a motorcycle he was riding during the unauthorized filming of an advertisement.

Ponce, who has appeared on numerous telenovelas, died early Thursday morning in a Mexico City hospital; three other actors, also riding motorcycles at the time, sustained injuries. The accident occurred during the filming of an advertisement for "Solo Para Mujeres" (For Women Only), a live male striptease show. The ad was to air on Televisa variety show "No Manches."

According to a statement released from the Mexico City police department, the shoot took place on a main artery in southern Mexico City. The police report said a speeding vehicle slammed into a caravan of moving motorcycles used for the plug. Producer Sergio Mayer "did not request police assistance" for the filming, the department said.

A spokesman at Mexico City's attorney general's office said the driver had alcohol on his breath yet it still hasn't been determined if he had passed the legal limit. He added that the driver and the producer could be held responsible for the actor's death.

Mayer acknowledged at a Thursday press conference that he did not have permission to film and said that Televisa had nothing to do with the production. Televisa declined comment.

It looks like the guy had it in for motorcyclists or something. That sucks.

Apperantly from what I read, the guy was just drunk. It's still no excuse and he needs to get the firing squad or whatever they do down in Mexico.

i saw this on another forum....i hope they string that guy up.

saw it in the spanish news (univision) they said that the driver doesnt like motorcyclist and hates them and thats why he ran into them therefore he should be commited for murder and attempted murder. or something. man i really do hate stupid people on the road.

he should be executed.

WOW.I really can't see any reason that guy just plowed into them, tha's so fuked up.Tha's one of the worst i've seen, top 5!!

If he really did it on purpose then he has problems and should be plowed six feet under for that sh*t

seen this before in a recent post - but still shocking as hell.. The driver was obivously drunk, or street racing - if he was intentially trying to take out the biker's, he would of gotten them all.. With that said, Actually if you looked pretty closely to the vid - he hits the bikers going about 100mph (guessing) while they are cruising maybe about 40-50mph.. and you see the left side rider get pushed by the car (and probbly falls down.. sliding) the two other riders get hit and flung into the air, but it seems like nothing else hit them (sliding bikes or the car)... I seriously think all the riders made it out alive - the 2 flung probbly suffered injuries but really a head-on would of been 10 times worse.

i wish those mexicans would follow up on their story and tell us the out-come but whatever haha..

and i hope that driver got a muffler thru his head when running into those bikers... if not, I hope jail is panning out good for him.. viva las mexico

I saw some follow up reports and there was one fatality...the driver of the cage was talking on his cell phone and didn't see the bikers...he pretty much got away with it.

did they give out the driver's name and address? ill take a trip down there and kick his @$$, maybe go scuba-diving too. I mean if he got away with it, Physical Assault you gots to get a cookie for that..
