Hey have a question!
I crashed my 1000rr and I bent the back rim kinda bad (see photo). I was wondering if you guys know if it fixable and if it will be just as strong as brand new. I have been searching for a replacment rim for awhile and I cant find anything cheap. Please let me know what you think or if you know of any places in California to get it fixed. I might be able to ship it somewhere too!

no it can't be fixed. I hit a pot hole and bent mine. The shops can't fix it because bending it back will cause it to crack .best bet try ebay.

there's a guy in OC who can fix it
but there's no telling on the intrinsic strength of the rim later on
if you're interested in a pair of 04-05 oem wheels, let me know

thanks to all that have posted info & to those that will....
I still have a bit to wait until I can start to fix the bike. Since I am still recovering from a broken pelvis.

Yes, you can fix a bent rim. Lots of places charge serious $$$, just make sure you get specifics on how accurate they can get it. I've had a couple bent rims fixed by Will at Will's Rim Repair in SC. He comes highly recommended from WERA riders in the southeast. Here's his number:(864) 787-1351
