I let a friend ride my bike and he ended up wrecking on it.  I believe the bike is totalled.  The frame has a dent in it, forks are bent, front wheel is cracked, and the farings are messed up along with the gas tank.  Its an 06 with 2600 miles on it.  What do you think the insurance company will give me for it when they total it out?

You'll need to research the value of the bike yourself. I don't know if Kelly Blue Book or NADA does bikes, but a Yahoo or Google search should yield results for value calculators. Is your buddy ok? Is your insurance ok with the fact that your buddy was riding it instead of you? I know that my bike only goes out with someone else on it who leaves their car and keys (of equal or greater value) and/or who I know would not have a problem paying if they did wreck.

Sorry to hear about the bike, D.  I'll bet your friend feels like utter shit about it, and you are out a bike for a while.  Sometimes you might seem like a dick, but it is best to say no when someone asks to ride your bike.  Whatever happens, I'm sure the insurance company will do their best to screw you out of as much money as they can...that's what they do best.  Good luck, and keep us posted.

well i talked to the insurance today.  they dont have an adjuster that does 06's so I have to take it to the dealership to get a quote on it.  They talk like there going to pay for it to get fixed but I dont think there getting the fact that there is probably 6k in reparing it.  I imagine there going to total it.  My friend didnt get hurt in the accident.  I am making him pay the difference in what they short me on payoff.  I will get some pics of it too.
