Nice car. I was always more of a chevy guy, but really dig the 85 mustangs before they went fuel injected, but thats a sharp car. Someone put allot of time and $$$ into it. Are you going to do some more, maybe a 4-link and some tubs? Congrats on the nice ride.

But yeah - that's not a, "decent" foxbody... that's someone's heart and soul. You're driving someone elses car!
I'm looking for a mint 82 square-light 4cyl. with T-tops to convert... it's hard, real hard. Rare cars.

well there's always something faster than whatever you've got
yea the guy down the street has boosted 3 civics into the 10's and theyll definetely kill any 4 wheeled car in my garage, but thats getting into the realm of cars you just dont want to drive on the street

Now imagine of he put that kind on money into a
real car how fast it would go. You take the 20g's he put into that little roller skate and you throw it under the hood of that 5.0 and see who's in front.

Exactly. Thats been my argument for a long time. Theres no replacement for displacement. Tons of money into a 4 banger turboed and front wheel drive, or put that money into a big-block that'll turn out an honest 400hp with no sweat and be streetable, and a good posi with steep gears.mmmmm BUT, on the other side, you gotta work with what you got, it's getting harder and harder to find good ole Detroit steel at a good price so you can put money into other mods. But civics are a dime a dozen and parts abound. I really hate to say it, but with gas prices, the aftermarket, and popularity, I think hot-rodding is becomming a rich guy hobbie. I gave it up a long time ago. Used to go junk yard browsing to find a posi rear end, long blocks, intakes and heads to re-work, but it got pretty difficult to find good stuff, and really expensive really fast, even doing all the work myself.

yah, he said that driving it on the freeway is crazy, it just wants to go in a straight line... he also told me his racing earning was about 6500, and he only lost about 2000. And the car he lost to was the general lee haha, well not the same paint scheme, but some good ole fashioned detriot muscle with a blower on it.
+1 to whoever said modding cars is rich old man hobby
how many young kids do you see in corvettes these days, most of them are in import sports cars.
if i was to put that kinda money into a car though it would not be a civic ethier, it would be the 1973 240z that i am negelcting bcuz of my 600rr

i don't know how many times i go some where and a little civic, eclipse, etc. owner comes up and starts in on how he's got twin turbos mounted and all this other 5,000 dollar mods and how he will smoke my car. Great let me drop 5,000 into my car see what happens and if ya want to race then. Back to the subject. Looks like a clean car. Not a big mustang fan more because there are about a million running around here and half of them got cobra badges on a v-6 and lound exaust. Hate fake cars. Seen more of those cars with those hoods and 4 bangers under the cowl than v-8s. One thing about that year of car they can be made to fly.

right, one of my good buddys has a 9.70 second 5.0 and doesnt have *much* more money into it than this one. the foxbody 5 0's are great because you can usually find one mostly stock w/ low miles for well under 5k. someone told me that they are like the 57 chevy of our generation. cheap, powerful, easy to tool around with.
and speaking of 20k into american motors. there are a few twin turbo 2003 cobras i've seen, one across the river from here. and you
never see one making under 700hp
i can appreciate imports as most other guys can, but im talking about imports that were actually meant for motorsports, i think dumping all kinds of money into a <150hp economy car is kinda silly
