burnt fairing on an 06

hwy i rember reeading somewhere on here that some people have 06 and the faring is starting to burn. i is this a recall or do i have to pay to be fixied myself?

My buddy got the same exact bike as I do he has been though two sets of lowers honda covered under warrenty. he has the heat wrap and Kool Blue radiator fluid and it still melts. A guy with an 05 repsol didn't have problems till power commander was put on . I havent had any problems I heard it is hit or miss.

How many miles did you guys have before you started having problems?

I never noticed the issue...heard of it, so I decided to add heat tape, now I got almost 3000 miles. no heat issues

i just crossed 3400 today .. and i am making a apt at the dealer in the moring. now that i know and once they replace my farring i will add more tape to it to prevent in the future
