I have my CCW I carry everywhere I go, on bike, car, everywhere.  The one time you might need it might be the one time you decided not to carry..

very true. I usualy carry in the waist band, and in the seated position it digs into the dunlop (not the black rubber kind).Maby I"ll try a different holster .

I carry all the time.

I stick with subcompacts. My fav is my G29 even though it is a little heavy.

If I had my license the only time I''d wear it would be on a trip.

Shoulder holster....  will do the least damage to your body if you wreck.  No broken spine (small of back) no shattered pelvis (hip holster).  You might get lucky with a broken rip.

All the time.  If I''m on the CBR it''s usually a kimber ultra-carry in a don hume(sp?) Jit slide or a Milt sparks VM2.  If I''m heading out into the woods on the XT, it''s a GP100 or a G23, and at a minimum, a smith ultra-light 5 shot 38, it''s so light and small, no reason not to throw it in a pocket if I don''t feel like strapping on one of the others for a quick trip to the store or something.  A quality holster and often under-rated, a quality belt, makes a world of difference in carry comfort.

when i turn 21 in 11 months i will be applying for my unrestricted license here in NY...and i will carry everywhere i go except for on campus(where i believe i will need it most...)
speaking of they, i think they should change that law..if someone has a cwp, they should be allowed to carry on campus. If someone comes in there and starts shooting the place up, the only people that can help that are carrying are the university police(what 2 ppl at a time?) I should be allowed to defend myself with my right to bear arms wherever i need, whenever i need..and in that situation i would need it.

ok vent over...

Hey Shock. In WA State is it just a $50 fee and paperwork that we fill out to get the permit?

I''d like to be able to but our state doesn''t think that we should be concealing weapons. Eh, only use I''d have for it would be poaching deer anyway.

Yea, just go to your local PD, fill out two peices of paper, 60 bucks and fingerprints, and 15 minutes later your out the door.  I was amazed, it was tougher to get a block-buster card than a concealed pistol permit here.  PLUS, if you have your CCW, you can cash and carry a pistol, as in no 7 day wait.

I have a 2" Taurus 650BB CIA I think is the model.  It''s a .357 snubby that I carry in an ankle holster on the outside of my right leg for easy access.
If I want to carry open, (I live in VA where ANYBODY over 18 can open carry), I have a Kimber Custom 1911 .45ACP that I carry cross draw on my left side.  It keeps it from digging into my "dunlop"

I have a lovely Smith & Wesson 642.  I bought it with the intent of getting my concealed carry permit (my Pops has one), but I have yet to take the course.  When/if I do, I will happily take it with me on longer rides.
