Ok well now my pads arent biting but the noise is coming from where in the caliper thier is a metl bar that seems to be touching the rotor (on the very inside towards the back of the caliper it concts to the axel bolt). i think that is what is making the noise is thier any wAY TO adjust that???

First, less weed and more grammar.  There should be NOTHING!  I repeat, NOTHING--touching the rotor besides the pads...period.  If anything besides the pads are touching the rotor, you need to fix that ASAP, as that is going to do bad things to either you or the bike, maybe both.  Obviously, a pic of the problem area could help clarify what your writing leaves a bit cloudy...not trying to come off like a prick, but your post isn't very clear.

I'm still leaning towards something wasn't put together quite right when the rear wheel went back on. +1 to nothing touching the rotor besides the pads... somethin's messed up here.

Need pics!

oh....that is one of the caliper bolts....there is a grub screw in front of it right...meaning a flat head to take out a little screw and an allen head pin behind it...either way...something is put together VERY VERY wrong...that definitely SHOULD not be touching the rotor...i will try to find a picture of how it should be....hold on

edit...i was thinking of the wrong one..hold on, i have a picture

yea that little metal arm is touching the rotor on the other side i took of what you are talking about and put it back on when trying to get the pads to stop touching

is it the upper most bolt on the left or the lower...the one behind the grub screw or the bolt below that?

OH SHIT well that bolt i circled the first time well it screws into what is touching the rotor so i was tightening to to see if that would help and SNAP the shitty bolt broke and the little metal thing droped down a little bit.  now i dont know what to do???

ugh...you know what...it looks like you had the brake bracket in the wrong place...it's the thing that slides onto the swingarm and locates the rear caliper....as a result, the bolt you were tightening was putting pressure on the plate because it was in the wrong place and thus causing the grinding...now that you snapped the bolt, it looks like you'll need a new one...plus i would suggest taking off the wheel and figuring out how the brake bracket is misaligned...but for now...don't go riding without that bolt...

btw...that's called a caliper bracket bolt...it bolts through the caliper to the caliper bracket...

Ouch, man, that sucks something fierce! Must have ground down and weakened it some in the beginning.

+1 to FFingers advice. I knew it sounded like something was misaligned. Bad news is, this nixes your riding for a bit. Good news is that the bolt isn't going to be that pricey.

yeah i looked at it again in the service manual and compared with the online fiche....the bolt you broke screws into the brake bracket...

the caliper (brake) bracket slides onto a groove on the swingarm and the axle goes through it (i believe)....this gives you a stable locating point for the caliper as you can see this is really it's only mounting point....what probably happened is that you didn't have the caliper seated all the way down onto the bracket when you started tightening the bolt, it wasn't lined up with the hole for it...so as you tightened, you pushed the brake bracket against the rotor....the bracket is sort of loose on the bike until it is completely screwed to the caliper....that bolt is only supposed to be torqued to 17 ft/lbs which isn't that much....i would also check to make sure that by tightening you didn't dent or scratch up your rear rotor in the process....

if you have any other questions, let me know...

Thanks ffingers helped alot you are exectly right but even though the bolt isnt that pricey it snaped right at where it enters the bracket so i dont know how i am going to get it out. well sucks hopefully i can get it fixed soon maybe tomorow or as soon i can have a bolt orederd.  Thanks again.
