Can you find year from VIN

I just got a free CBR900RR. The guy is getting me the title but may be a little while. The VIN tag (sticker) is not on the frame but the VIN is stamped on the neck. Can I find out what year it is from the VIN? It looks exactly like This

it really depends on manufacturer ..but most of them are same

1st character : indicates nation of origin
2nd character: indicates manufacturer
3rd character : indicates make and type
4th character : indicates restraint system
5th character : indicates series
6th & 7th character : indicates body types
8th character : Enigne type and make
9th character : cheack digit
10th character : model year <-- hope this is wat u looking for
11th character : assembly plant
