r1's, zx10's, 1000rr's, and gsxr1000's all trap in the the mid 140's stock. sorry, but a 600whp car isn't going to do that.
Well I am here to state that you are wrong! My supra is or was my daily driver up until the start of this year, Due to the purchase of my blade. Anyway I ONLY got 474.3KW@WHEELS which is ONLY 636.1HP@WHEELS. Now these numbers are at the wheels NOT the motor and I personally have done a 10.3 with a terminal speed of 142mph! Now on average, most street riders will have a hard time catching me on a straight line off the lights! Most riders including myself, cannot use the full potentual of the litre bikes capabilitys! I have time and time again put shame to peps on R1,Gixxers,Blades and 10ers, all the time from the lights in my supra! I aint watching no videos, as I am just quoting from my own experience and what I have seen my friends do! Most street riders will NOT do 11sec! Yes the bike is capable of 10s, but to lauch a bike to do that takes skill that most dont have! Where as in a car, any tom dick and harry can stomp on the excellarator...? I love bikes and in the twistys they are a weapon of choice, but we are talking about your local street rider have a few runs at the local street lights!

I should have been more specific because when I said sportscar I didn't mean a Supra, RX-7, 3Z or anything else in the $45K-$65 range. Supercars and even though "inexpensine" ($70K) in comparison to most, the Z06 does 202 mph and is one of the best handling, stopping, and accelarating cars in the world. I said already most sportbikes w/ pro riders are faster than most supercars w/ pro drivers 0-60mph and 1/4 times. But top speed sportbikes can't run w/ supercars. Aerodynamics are a bitch and sorry to say a sportbike will never be as aerodynamic as a supercar. When you say hang that's a little open ended. It's all about traction, off the line, before the corners, in the corners, and after the corners. Sportbike will always be limited by 2 things areodynamics and it's greatest characteristic only having two wheels.

I got a second gen TII RX-7 w/ some nice mods and when I autocross this thing I know I can't go thru the cones like this on by bike.

I am talking about quarter mile times. You are absloutely right, top end is no contest for any normal car.

My observation is that most people believe street bikes are unbeatable on the street. I have found that is the case most of the time, but a bad rider vs. a good driver and a fast car can win. But yes the 1KRR is the shit and It thrills me everytime I ride it.

when I get my B.A. i'm goin to aviatior school in pensacola, nothing like 0-160knots in less than 2 seconds. gave me a boner just final checking. and to all the speed demons here its real easy to be a navy pilot just get your bachelors if your prior service it even easier. does anybody know if theres snakeskin motoboots?
