Ok, before I get flamed. I used the search on here. Anyways... Here's my question. I am interested in a 599. I LOVE the idea of the exposed engine, but I really don't like the front end. Does anyone know if/have done the front end swap. IF so, how easy is it? The only reason I don't just want to go out and get a CBR is b/c It's hard for me to sit on one without feeling "cramped" in certain areas, if you know what I mean, plus my legs are REALLY long and my knees are not very comfortable on longer trips. When I was on the 599, it felt more like a bike I can fit on. Let me know! Thanks a lot!

It's more in the shape of the tank I guess.. It seems to me as if my knees aren't out quite as far. My buddy's Interceptor has HUGE grooves in it for GREAT comfort, but being a beginner rider, I thought getting anything more than a 600 would be suicide. Everyone told me that I should have gotten a 250 as my first bike, but I just couldn't fit on it. My girlfriend wants to get a Rebel, but she is only 5' 3". She can fit. I'm a good 8 - 9 inches taller than her, and she said she was comfortable on it. Well, you guys just let me know if you know if it can be done! Thanks a lot!

well, you could always check out "gasp!" other brands (yes i said it) suzuki sv650s are always great beginner bikes. the new fazers (yamaha) arent that bad either.

Yeah... I've thought of that idea before, but the guys in my band would KILL me! The drummer has a Shadow 600 and Interceptor, and the bassist also has a Shadow 750.
