I  have a 95 honda cbr900rr , the bike came from japan. So no one around here really wants to work on it for me so i am on my own. But my problem is that it seems i can ride during the day with no problem but if i turn on the headlights i made it 3 miles and the bike dies on me. Acts like bad gas then cuts out on me. I know it is from riding and i guess my battery is not charging. When i try to start it back up it sounds like a dead battery. What should i test. I have older bikes but  this is a first for me. Any help would be nice.
Thanks
Loren

Try your rectifier, You need to get a multimeter and test the ohm load on the rectifier by touching the four pins on the plug keep one prong of the tester on one pin and touch the remaining three one at a time and you should get the same reading on all three. if not the rectifier needs to be changed. in fact Im willing to bet thats what it is

I've seen five threads about the same thing, lets not waste the time or the breathe of the guys going over this again.....it's all in the link above, trust me! If you try everthing that the guys told me before and you are still having problems post again with a few more of the problems you are having and maybe we can come up with a better reason for your problem.
