Just noticed I have A LOT of coins stored in my room in bags and jars.
In my area, we have coinstar. It's a ATM looking machine that you dump your coins into and it counts it for you and gives you cash. If you accept cash, it takes out like 6-8 cents per dollar, so it adds up. However, you have a choice of converting your cash into a certificate to amazon.com, starbucks, etc etc. The choices change everytime.
I'll be changing mine to amazon.com so I can buy some stuff on there. They actually have some bike parts... but very few selection for f4i's.
Just a tip for all you guys who save up all your coins.

why have your saved money be deducted by a machine?
you know, banks like commerce have a penny arcade where you drop all your money and it prints out a reciept that can be deposited into your account. the machine does not discount any money from its services.

Coinstar is a rip off, just go to your back and they will do it for free. Over here coinstar takes out $0.09 on the dollar.

Not sure where you live, but some banks (like TCF Bank) has a free coin changing machine if you have an account there (free).
