I came up to NC for Christmas and am staying close to Tail of the Dragon so I couldn't resist bringing my Repsol since the weather is calling for sunny days all week. So tonight it is 25 degrees out side and my bike is out there shivering .

It still has the stock anti-freeze in it. Is there any thing I should be worried about ????

How many miles on your bike? As long as there isnt an excessive amount of miles over Hondas recommended coolant change then 7 or so degrees under freezing is no big deal at all, and shouldnt be. I wouldnt worry about it, I live in Milwaukee and its been sub 20 degrees for a month now(temps have been in the single digits the last week or so), tipped my bike around and viewed the fluids I was able to and they all were fine. Just so you know my garage isnt attached to my apt nor is it heated.

I agree with Renegade, you should have nothing to worry about.

This forum is a nice tool for info and advice.

Thanks Guys

Just be careful of cold slick roads when you do get to ride that bike of yours...
and give your bike extra time to warm as well

Thanks for the advice. I have been riding several times since I've been here and it is very cold but also quite exhilarating. I have a thick leather jacket and thermals but I need better gloves. There hasn't been any precipitaion so the roads aren't slick at all so far. I also haven't made it to the Dragon yet but the the local roads are still quite twistie compared to FL so I am having great fun in the middle of of Dec. in the Mountains. I must be dreaming or crazy some might say, or just a die hard street rider.
I love this bike and it loves to rip in the cold.

I'd be out riding too if it were not for all the salt residue on the road. There is group around here that goes out every January 1st for a winter ride. I want to try and hook up with them.

I have seen some salt residue but most of it well worn away so I am trying to avoid that stuff as much as I can. This is realy the only time I've been able to wear my big heavy leather without sweating to death.
