I WAS WONDERING HOW THE CBR 1000RR STACKS UP TO THE COMPETITION YAMAHA R1,GSXR 1000, ECT.... I HAVEN'T REALLY GOTTEN A CHANCE TO TEST MY BIKE WITH OTHER 1000'S AND I WAS WONDERING HOW HAS IT BEEN FOR YOU GUYS WHO HAVE HAD THERE BIKES FOR A WHILE.

all of the magazines will tell you that it really comes down to the rider. These bikes are really closely mathced. The GSXR1000 won for the best sport bike on the track. The honda is considered the best sportbike for the street. The ZX10 is brutal power and the R1 is the best one in the turns. For the most part, the bikes are within 5HP from one-another and tourqe is really close also. The opinions may change depending on what magazine you read.
The CBR is geared a little lower and puts the most thrust to the rear tire in first gear than any of the other bikes. I also found it to be more comfortable than the GSX-R. It seems very tame when you want it to be and a beast when you open it up. I also beleive the build quality is better (comapre the welds on the frame).
I was running with an R1 in fourth gear at about 75mph, we both opened up the throttle at the same time and the bikes remained head-to-head until we let off the throttle. The same was true for fifth gear, so there is no difference in performance from that aspect.
