If you already knew this then disregard. I just went through some pain with this and thought I'd share some information:
But for those of you shopping for a fender eliminator, the '05 model of the Competition Werkes fender eliminator will not fit on an '06 CBR1000RR. They actually JUST released an '06-specific model.

Good to know , it sounds like a lot of '04-05 parts will not work on the '06.

I did figure it out the hard way. The shop I bought it from is pretty knowledgable too, so it surprised me that they'd send me the wrong part. They apologized and are sending me a replacement.

As long as you don't damage the one you want to send back and buy another one from the same source they should send you another one at not cost unless of course the 06 costs more. I had to do this with Indysuperbike.com and we each paid for shipping which seemed very fair to me.

yep ....already been through that with CW...wish they had a batterybox mount for the 04/05 but the dont... I fabbed a mount out of $5 worth of aluminum angle from Lowes, a hacksaw, grinder, and hand drill....it should work great, mount to the batterybox via the stiffening fin on the inside. All i need is a set of litning-bolts....ill post pics when i mount it this weekend...

Comp Werks sells two for the 06 1000RR. The one that tucks under the tail mounting to the battery box and hinges is called the LTD. The other one that mounts toward the rear of the tail is called the "standard."
They are the eighth and ninth ones down after clicking on the link below. As you will see there is no part numbers listed.

i was going to get the same one, however i didnt like the black plastic peace over the exhaust pipe can you remove that or will it melt the undertail

The black plastic piece is part of the stock exhaust. I had the tail apart once and it did look like you take that piece off as well.
Apparently there's a big demand for the new LTD FE from Comp Werkes. Mine's been backordered at least a week.

That looks pretty sharp.
What do you guys think about the flushmounts included with the new FE? I had already purchased a Clear Alternatives because I didn't like the signals included with the previous Comp Werkes FE. But I think I like the turn signals included with this FE much more than the previous Comp Werkes FE for the 1000RR. In fact, I think I might like the stock tail light better than the Clear Alternatives too.
The only thing I'm not 100% is look/placement of the flushmounts included with the new FE. Any opinions? How about you guys that have already installed them?

Hey F.E. looks great! What about clearance? Is it possible for the tire to come up and tear up the plate? I thought that it is suposed to pivot? If it does, do you think it is enough to keep the plate from getting damaged?

Hey Guys,
I kinda like the lights up higher on the new FE kit...and I think it makes the signals a bit more visible from a practical perpsective...but on the other hand the older placement looks nice too. Hard call to decide on that .
There is in fact (I found) about 1/2 inch of clearance from the roller on the bottom of the plate holder and the rear tire fender...so I do not believe it would get damaged. In fact the plate holder will fold backwards if the roller hits the fender...so I don't think there is anything to worry about.
On a side note...I got pulled over by a cop (rookie) last week at night...and he was claiming that he could not read my plate when driving 5, 10 or 20 feet behind me. I humoured him and said "gee officer that is surprising and I will certainly look into making it MORE visible"...while I was thinking...."give me a friggin break....the plate is brightly lit up and if you were not blind as a bat you can clearly see my plate". Anyone had this problem ? When I got home I sat in my car at various distances and had no problem reading the plate. Think this is just bike envy ?
