i have a 2006 1000rr and i was washing it yesterday after going for a ride and saw some coolint comeing from the overflow hose. is that something to worry about?

Was the bike hot? I dont thin you are really supposed to wash a hot bike.....maybe you made the fluid boil.....

No that's pretty normal. It's just the overflow hose coming from the coolant tank. every so often it will just spit a few drops out. It's nothing to be worried about. Mine does it and I've worked on several 1K's that I've noticed residue at the hose. Oh and by the way, you can't make coolant boil by putting cold water on the motorcycle.

thanks for your help. i am droping it off at the shop to have it looked at for a ticking sound,it makes when it is runing and when it is off after rideing. they said they would take a look at the coolant for me to
