Ok, so after 200 miles of riding today I'm thing a Corbin seat would be nice for my 1999 CBR 600F4. What I'm wondering is are they really worth it, do they make that much of a noticeable difference or is it just a name thing? If anyone has one, especially on this model of the F4 I'd appreciate the input!
Thanks,
Jason

great seats but look for them on ebay. they are worth it for $200, but not the $500 they want for a new one.

I gotta be honest..........I hate mine with a passion. I dont like the stock one either. I added high density padding to my Corbin and it's better now, but I'm going to fit a GSX-R seat when I get some time. My ass has never felt anything sooooo good as a Gixxer seat. Awsome seats. But for 5 bills.........no way is a Corbin worth that. Heli bars maybe........but not a Corbin seat. If mine wouldnt have come with one...........I would never own one. Just my experience. It's hard as shit stock. The form is nice, but wayyy too hard.

I have one on my 2003 RR and had one on my Bandit 1200 before that. The corbins start out hard, but break in after several hundred miles. They are great on the RR b/c the dense foam prevents the heat from the center exhaust from reaching your nether regions. However, I think you can do nearly as well at a significantly lower price by taking your stock seat to a local upholstry shop and having them put in denser foam.

my buddy has one, they're nice. but i wouldnt spend $200 on a seat. IMO i like the stock one because its hard and easy to move around on, and the heat doesnt bother me that much.

I bought one for my '02 F4i, and after about 3 weeks took it off. I don't really like it much, I prefer the stock one to the corbin, even though its not all that comfortable. With the corbin, it makes you sit pretty far back, so its harder to rest on the tank. Also, the lip on the edge of the seat digs in when sitting at a light. I'm about 5'11", the lip might not bother you if you're 6'2"+...

I bought a used one for my 02' f4i and I really like it for the most part. I picked it up on ebay for about $130. I didn't want to spend $200+ for a new one that I was gonna have to break in. It feels like it makes u sit up more straight than stock. Feels weird at first, but it ends up taking pressure and weight off ur knees, thighs, wrists, and elbows. I especially notice this when hitting bumps in the road. It does make u sit back farther which isn't a huge problem. Really my biggest complaint is the same comment that "ruizs" had about the the front edge of the seat when sitting at a light. I'm 5'10" and I use to be able to touch flat foot. Now I feel more on my tippy toes due to the front of the seat sitting higher and having more padding then the stock seat. Kinda uncomfortable. I ride more time than I spend stop at lights tho, so for me I still have to say I'm glad I bought this seat.

One of the most enjoyable mods I have made. Spent less than $200. Watch eBay and the forums for them.

Best mod I have ever done!!! Corbin seats are worth their weight in gold in my opinion.
