With all the posts lately of crashes...it really caused to me wonder how many occured in this year.

Only reply if you meet one of the following criteria:
  1. Witnessed a crash in 2007
  2. Been in a crash in 2007
  3. Know a member that was in a crash this year (who can't reply themselves).

  • What gear: icon leather jacket, icon mainframe helmet, icon pursuit gloves, regular jeans, indoor soccer shoes.
  • How many riders injured:myself ( minor road rash on ankle and knee, shoulder sore for 2 weeks, lucky...).
  • How many bikes involved:1
  • Were cages involved:1 that cut me off kept driving
  • Were sliders in use: no, *tear
  • Is the bike considered totalled:well no, bcuz i didnt want to invovle insurance... but there is a minor crack on the frame where some electrical thingie is munted on the left side.
  • Were traffic control devices (double yellows, speed limit, traffic lights, etc.) disregarded (Y/N): no
  • Other pertinate factors: car cut infront of me, would have recoverd, but gravel on the edge of the road caused a low side.

  • Other pertinate factors: Moment on inattention bit me in the ass and I rear ended my son on another bike. He stayed up, but I looped mine on the front brakes. Took me a while, but I saved the bike after a new subframe was welded on, swing arm, forks, plastics, clip on, etc.......

  • Other pertinate factors: Setting up for a left turn and son rear ended me. Guess it was payback, but dislocated my left knee so bad that the doc said he had never seen one so bad in his life. Still can't ride and have no idea when I will be able to. Yep. It sucks.

Keep that in mind whan it's your time...... Bikes have helped keep my family close. Some times TOO close!
 
This is my son and I......... Pssst... He's the one on the left!
 

 
And this is him on his SV. You don't see many 17 year olds riding like he does, but I trained him well, and am very proud to watch him ride as well as he does!.........

  • Other pertinate factors: The driver of the car was merging into traffic and tagged my rear wheel knocking the bike out from under me.  Luckly I slide towards the sidewalk and could quickly get outa the street.  The bike slide towards the other sidewalk and was also out of traffic.  Only road some hard core rash on the left side and my leathers were rashed up.  I walked away without a scratch.

    Its not if you'll crash but when. All my buddies that have bikes have wrecked them at least once so wear your gear at all times people!
