With all the posts lately of crashes...it really caused to me wonder how many occured in this year.
Only reply if you meet one of the following criteria: - Witnessed a crash in 2007

Keep that in mind whan it's your time...... Bikes have helped keep my family close. Some times TOO close!
This is my son and I......... Pssst... He's the one on the left!
And this is him on his SV. You don't see many 17 year olds riding like he does, but I trained him well, and am very proud to watch him ride as well as he does!.........

Is the bike considered totalled: Close... but no cigar
Were traffic control devices (double yellows, speed limit, traffic lights, etc.) disregarded (Y/N): No
Other pertinate factors: The driver of the car was merging into traffic and tagged my rear wheel knocking the bike out from under me. Luckly I slide towards the sidewalk and could quickly get outa the street. The bike slide towards the other sidewalk and was also out of traffic. Only road some hard core rash on the left side and my leathers were rashed up. I walked away without a scratch.

- How many riders injured: 1, little road rash and bruising and seriously bruised ego.

- Were sliders in use: no, i hadnt put them on yet
- Is the bike considered totalled: nope, just some fairing damage, bent foot peg bracket, broken windscreen.....
- Were traffic control devices (double yellows, speed limit, traffic lights, etc.) disregarded (Y/N): yes, of course!
- Other pertinate factors: green rider trying to be a badass going around a turn to fast. Ended up eating pavement. On the bright side I found this forum while looking for repair info.
Its not if you'll crash but when. All my buddies that have bikes have wrecked them at least once so wear your gear at all times people!
