Every year the bike drops a $1000 in value. I wish supersports had better resale value but I dont plan on selling it for aleast 3 years its just the thought of if i had too thats all i would get

Atleast those values are better than every auto/truck on the road. I bought a 2004 Mountaineer in 2003 (MSRP of $38,000) and the NADA "avarage" retail is only $23,000...and trade is just at $20,000. That's almost 50% in 2 years.

That's life man. Think about it this way. If in fact you do lose $3000 over 3 years, that equates to $2.74 a day. Ask yourself, is it worth it?

Now stop crying and go enjoy your bike.

get a european bike if you're so concerned with maintaining value.

remember depreciating assests pay cash for...appreciating assets nothing down (if concerned about it, buy a bike you can pay cash for...older bike that won't depreciate much at all...there is a floor to how low they will go)

you bike is the best TOY on the planet

ps - I do feel your pain though...bought a '05 600RR (new) and think I'm going to step up to the 1000RR or RC51 (not sure) this next year.
