Custom CBR1000RR (Gotta SEE IT)

Hey guys, I just noticed today, that a member of the R1-Forum, has purchased a CBR1000RR and did some cool work to it, I mean the bike is awesome,he posted the pictures on the R1-Forum and is getting lots of thumbs up for it. (must be nice, 2002 R1 and 2005 CBR1000RR)

Here, I am posting those pictures on CBR1000RR Forum now, so enjoy it, keep in mind and imagine the time, effort, creativity and of course the money that went in to this ride.

I can appreciate the time and $ that went into that bike. I'd have to see it a lot to like it I suppose. Maybe it grows on you after a while. But I can definitely see the work -- just polishing the frame (or was it chromed?) took 75-100 hrs.

That is sweet. It looks like it's all chrome plated. Polished wouldn't shine so brite. Thats a few thousand dollars worth of chrome. It looks bad ass though. Like you said, must be nice to have a R1 and a CBR1000RR. I need a new job

It's an 04 with 05 lowers. The guy frequents 1000rr.net as well. Hell of a nice looking bike too. I am not too much on chrome more than wheels but damn, he did a hell of a job and it looks top notch.

wow u guys must be into bikes on a hardcore level cause I couldnt see shit special about the bike untill i read some of ur post. It has chrome..... It's still ugly though. My bike is a plain jane but that is nothing special. The new tires look hot though After thinking about it, I could put the ugly Honda wings on my bike and it would appear the same LOL Wish i could have my muffler in that same place though, thats pretty nice.

All that chrome it probably weighs 600lbs now

Hey now, thats my bike. Yup, I flipped it , parted out and put it back together with even more chrome..

Yeah, I just been out ridin her and been layin low from the messages boards. Im just waiting for my 05 mids to come in before i post up more pics just for all the chrome haters.

e-bay this might work for ya -- probably have to modify slightly. The tag bracket is nice also

Forgive me guys...I love the hell out of some Honda's and chrome but that is just too much chrome for that color bike. If the bike was black or grey...Hell yeah! But that red/black just ain't cuttin' it. I do by all means appreciate the work and time the went into it. Sorry!

It kills me when I think about the expense Honda went to powdercoating the rims and the frame, which translated into a higher price on the bike, and then someone takes a Dremel tool to it....?

I guess to each his own. I just think chrome belongs on cruisers. My $0.02.

No denying the expense, but the consider if the man-hours and money had been spent on just go-fast/turn-fast/stop-fast mods.....then you'd have me saying

Bike is hot, too much bling for me tho. Looks like alot of cash went into that chrome job.
