Karma? How do you know the night-club owner wasn't a drug dealer and a pedophile--and the thief was just a newly homeless construction worker on his way to commit suicide after his wife left him for a rich night club owner--
Sorry man, but unless you're Hindu, karma don't exist...

+1 on that. How else would he get spare parts?
A desmo rolls up on an empty stretch of road with nobody in sight and I'm standing there with a gun......that would be a hard call.
Wouldn't take it, but I'd make that MF let me ride it, LOL.

am i the only one thinking that i would have pinned it and took off??? i know its a different situation when your actually there, but think about it, if the guy wants the bike THAT badly, he wants it looking immaculate. so if you took off, do you REALLY think he would shoot, cause that would most likely result in a crashed bike. then what? the hijacker just f'd up his ride.
He HAD to have been targeted too, to have a guy ALREADY wearing a helmet "bike-jack" you? seems a little too perfect to be a coincidence. just my $0.02

+1. Yet another reason to have a concealed weapons permit and carry though. Yeah, you might mess up your own bike but that's what insurance is for... I think it would be covered anyway. They would rather pay repairs than replacement, right?
