I was out riding my 06 CBR 1000 today, and when I went to get on it, it just revved up and didnt take off like slipping the clutch would do. I did it in other gears same thing. Runs and shifts fine just crusin, but when you jump on the throttle it just revs up without the bike accelerating. Its fine at low rpms or just cruisin around. It was a 100 degree day outside today and my fan came on a few times when I was sitting but I dont think that would have anything to do with it. Should I just try to adjust it?? Its no fun when the bike wont take off

well its a wet hydraulic clutch that really can't be adjusted.  what kind of oil you have in your bike is way more important than anything else.  lighter weight's that are less then 10w-40 aren't recommended generally.  oh yeah are you sure its clutch slipping and just not mental. ..my bike slips sometimes at WOT in like 4 gear(it'll buck hard after it catches)....

hopefully you didnt put oil with moly in it,  if your oil was labeled energy conserving then you messed up the clutch

or if you used honda HP4M

You need new clutch plates. if you put the wrong oil you get a slight slip under real power, but nothing like you describe, it's a straight forward replacement if you have the time.
