Does everyone wear gear when they ride? - Page 2

jeans = better than shorts
leathers = better than jeans

Orgs like ABATE make it obvious that many resent having to wear a helmet. No way to dictate other gear. Just be happy that they're wearing the jeans. I know over the summer I saw a lotta tank tops, shorts and sneakers out there. I cringed every time I saw one of them.

Holy crap, that is a serious bump. Maybe I''m just a squid, but every time I get a new piece of gear I wear it 100 percent of the time regardless of weather or distance traveled. Always have helmet, gloves, armored jacket and pants. Need to do something about these tennis shoes though... saw a brutal vid that made my ankles wince.

Was it the vid where the dudes ankle was holding on by a small piece of skin while the cop stood over him and yelled

I won''t even move my bike at the gas station without gearing up.

Damn you for pulling up this old thread. I was reading it and kept seeing new names and low post counts WTF!! did we get a bunch of new people.  Then I saw the dates on pg2. Never thought to look at the old dates...

Wear all my gear all the time.

KBC helmet, tourmaster leather jacket with armor, cortech leather gloves with armor, joe rocket mesh pants with hip/knee armor, and last but not least my galsses! I always wear what I would consider "full gear" incluing some sort of protective pant.

Helmet, gloves, jacket, and 90% of the time my Sidi''s. And thats just to class or sum place in town (I live in a small town). Out of town, mountains, spirited rides I have full gear on, Teknic Chicane pants,  Teknic lightning or JR jacket, Teknic lightning gloves, Sidi Vertigo Boots, AFX helmet.

She-It...can''t arrange transportation that fast lol. I was talking to anthony and we were talking gear, he showed me the set you have and i got jealous lol

Icon lid, Icon daytona jacket, Icon riding jeans, Icon gloves...I like icon...I had Icon boots, but I really didnt like them. I just ride with my adio shoes now. They did fine when I wrecked last year. 

Leather from throat to toes, helmet too.  Assorted brands depending on season...but never go out without it.  Ever.  Crashing hurts, but healing hurts worse, for longer.
The guys that wanna ride without gear, go right ahead.  I''ve got a 14 year-old cousin in chemo who could use good organs.

I reside in FL too, and i dont crank full gear. However, i always have gloves, jeans, vest, and a helmet on.

pretty much always wear kbc lid, icon merc gauntlet gloves, moto gp mesh jacket (looking for a full suit this winter), jeans, and A* smx-4 boots, and a backpack.

That is unless im going to work in the summer (which is 3/4 mi from my house) then i squid it a little... Lid, Icon merc short gloves, and bball shoes , i have actually tried going to work in work boots for some protection but my feet were so blistered from walking around all day i had to go home at lunch and change for sneakers.
