Have a small problem when changing down gears that i have never experienced before on any of my Bikes.

When i tap down on the gear lever it goes into gear but the lever does not return to the normal possistion, so when i try to tap down again the lever will not move. Only way around it is to slightly push up on the lever and it returns to the centre possistion. Going up the gears is fine and only happens when down changing. Problem was only minor but over the last couple of weeks is getting worse.

Any ideas? Have a 1989 CBR600FK with nearly 22000 miles and full service history...

Hi, Dont powershift up the gears and only a problem going down the gears.
Have noticed it appears to get worse the longer i ride the bike. If i have a blat down the motorway and then turn off, it is especially bad at this time. Only way i get around it is every time i down shiff i then give a little up pressure on the gear leaver and it returns back to is normal possition. This is a pain in the Butt but only way i can tap down the gears.

What adjustment screws are you talking about also?
