my brother in law just recentley layed his bike it's an 06 cbr600rr. we try starting but does not crank. all the intrument lights are working but won't crank. now we looked at the side where it was layed and the on/off switch looks tweeked and cracked. would that be the problem for it not to start?..and if it is the problem how is it to replace?

I know when I laid my Katana down last year it would not start until I pulled the fuses and then re-inserted them. Kind of like a reboot or reset.

    on/off switch???
do you mean the kill switch
thats easy
2 bolts then trace the harness back to the plug

if it dropped then it triggered the tip over switch

to reset it you have to turn the key on and cycle the kill switch on and off

i am guessing that you already did this but just putting it out there

yeah we tried recycle the kill switch but nothin happen it still didn't crank the engine...we can see the switch inside thats how pretty ****ed it is..so maybe its damage from inside and won't retrieve signal from the ecu. hopefully thats the problem. i think i'm going to replace the switch. thanks fo the info guys.

the switch is one big thing
wires, switch and plug

it is part #3859820-001 for 60 bucks from bikebandit and includes kill switch and starter switch
