i just bought this bike, a 96 cbr 600f3, it's been wrecked a couple of times by the guy i bought if from. the battery was shot, i replaced it. for some reason it wasn't getting power through the line to the ingnition switch, so i ran a new wire strait from the + term on the battery to the hot point on the ingnition switch. with that and the new battery it started up fine and i was able to ride it for about 25 mins after wich i turned it off for the night, just wanted to see if it worked. so today i go out and start it, it starts and everything, i get on the road and about 4 or five blocks away it's starts sputtering and then dies. i'm like what the f*&%^, i try and start it back up and it has no juice what so ever, not even enough for the lights to come on, wich 5 mins earlier were bright. any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanx-------i didn't even need to run that wire, there was a fuse right in front of the battery, under the gas tank, in some sort of harness, 30A fuse was blown. i replaced it and reconnected the wire i cut at the ignition switch, took the one i ran out and it started up fine and is running good with the "old" battery (turns out it wasn't shot), so now i can take the new one back. thanks for the input guys.

Magnito / Alternator any good? Might not be charging the battery, so its just draining untill it dies. ? Maybe.

You had the right idea, but the wrong execution. The line from the battery has to go to the fuse box. The ignition switch uses a starter relay because the starter needs full power, but the ignition switch wiring can't handle that full power. Hence a relay to handle the juice. You probably fried something. I would probably start with the wiring diagram for the F3 and do it right so you don't burn the bike.
