I have a 02 cbr954rr with 6700 miles. At the drag strip last night, when the revs get to around 9000+ rpm the motor starts missing. It seems that it is loading up with fuel. I find that if I do a serious burn out prior to the run it goes better but I cant afford that many tires. The bike is basically stock except for the gearing and adding 112 octane leaded race fuel. When it is at idle and I rev it I can see some richness come out the exhaust but it goes away after a couple of revings. If anyone can give me a heads up I would really appreciate it. Thank You

OK..I believe the 954 has a catalytic converter and if you are using leaded race fuel with a stock exhaust, that could be the culprit!!..if you are running a aftermarket pipe it could be the mapping.
If the catalytic converter is failing it could be messing up the mapping since it is probally getting all sorts of wierd readings

Also you have no benefit running race fuel on a engine that the compression ratio only requires 91 octane. In some instances I've seen engines on dyno loose HP on octane greatly exceding the requirements of the engine.

I drained the tank and put pump gas back in. I can already tell it is running better. Thanks for your help.

Glad you found the problem but I oh so wanted to say "Ya better find yer engine at high revs or you might crash!!!"
