I know i will probably be marked as a infidell
but i can't understand why you would spend
1000 bucks +- for an exhaust that might get
you 5 hp. And in the process loose some
midrange torque. Please help an ignerant
and uneducated 06 yellow f4i ridder out.
Thanks

full systems are made for racers/trackday riders, some street riders get them also partly for the power but mostly for the sound/bling factor I guess

Well a little unrelated, but I have an example sort of.

I ride a 2004 Kawasaki KFX400 ATV. I've had it since early 05, an aside from armor and cosmetics, I hasd yet to make any modifications to the machine untill last week, because I was completley satisfied with it's performance. In the trails, you couldn't loose me on a Raptor 700, ont he track I'd hang in there witht he 450s easily.

Anyway, Dennis Kirk was having a sale on White Bros. M4 slip on. $182.00. That's on hell of a deal, so I jumpped on it.

I installed the slip on last week, and immediatly noticed at least a 20% power increase. I can no longer keep the front end down in first, and do not have to pull up to wheelie in second. I can now wheelie fairly easily in 3rd, and with some clutching can get her up in 4th no problem. I was never able to do that before. I couldn't beleive how much of a diffrence a friggin can could make. Woke her right up. As for the top end, no noticable loss/gain. Still max about 68 mph.

Naw, I'm fine with the KFX, it's much more nimble than the 660. I have 2 friends with 660, and 1 witht he 700. They're fast on the straights, but in the trails I can get through quicker because of the wieght diffrence, I can really manipulate my machine(that sounds gross..lol)

Anyway, the 68 I refer to is from one of those "Your speed is" speed trap signs, have you ever seen those? They just set them up and it's supposed to urge you to slow down. Of course it did the exact oposite that day, lol.

Anyway, check out the Kawasaki website for info on the new KFX450R, it's gonna be the sickest race-ready quad ever (WITH REVERSE!)

ok mang...your peak HP gain may go up by some...but overall you should be gaining in every RPM range...so you have more power through the powerband...IF and IF you dyno that sucker...otherwise, lame...does nothing...you have slop...

but with tuning, yes, there is still some slop in the very low range...but the upper revs fast and hard...and is scary...

also, you save buttloads of weight...

so is all this usable on the street? HECK NO!!! muahahahahh

but it's great discussion at starbucks! and as woody says...bling factor...so if you get it for the bling factor, make sure you don't put your fairings back on so that everyone can see that you have full exhaust!
