exhaust question

hey guys i live in chicago and need a louder exhaust for safety reasons, but cant get a aftermarket yet . is there any way that i can make my 07600rr stock exhaust loader and if so how do i go about doing it. thanks for your help in keeping me alive in this warzone of a city   lol

Straight pipe it.  You can go to about any custom muffler shop and have them make it for you.  Have a friend that done that on a '06 r6.

    just remember that a straight pipe will probably get you a ticket if it is too loud
(what safety reasons btw)

and just as any aftermarket pipe a straight pipe will void your warranty

don't mean to hijack...but where in Chicago bjtoth1??? I live in the south loop by Univ. of IL - Chicago. I am always looking for a fellow rider. I ride EVERY DAY to work down to Michigan and Jackson.

btw - feel your pain on the stock exhaust...it SUCKS in the city...i am waiting ::cough, cough:: for the guy (bootleg___) on the board making custom exhausts to finish...my money is ready for him when he finishes...should be any week now!!

Just about every company out there is making exhaust for the 07 now. Yosh, Two Bros, Leo, etc....... And if a dealer puts it on it will no void the warranty, and I dont see anything it can do for safety reasons, but good luck........ Traffic is the same way here in Orlando

it can help me because people will here me coming. people dont cut out in front of harleys and why do you think that is ? because they can hear them coming. you have kkknow idea ow many times i have been riding and someone pulls out in front of me because they dont even know in there, and it is because they cant hear me coming. this is the safety reason. understand?

I completely understand. I live in the middle of Orlando, same crap here, and at higher speed, or normal cruise rates, sound is VERY directional and you will not be heard unless you are within a few feet, when it is already to late. Normal city riding, yes you can be heard, but if they dont see you they dont know where you are coming from. Believe me, it doesnt work. Cause if that way the cause, I wouldnt get ran off the road as much as I do. Harley are seen because they are 3 times the size of out bikes: they are wider, taller, etc. Not saying you shouldnt get an exhaust, but you will still have people doingthe same thing they are now.
