yes I in f4i means injection ... f4i didnt start untill 01 so a 99-00 cbr 600 f4 would still be carb. also teh headlight assmbly is different. the 01-03 f4i had a split seat.

Marketing, to compete less against the RR. Plus Elvis loved nana sammaches.

I personally wonder why anyone would buy an f4i after the RR came out?  Sport Touring maybe?Or to compete with the katana?  Plus the bananna seat is ridiculous, also a katana trait.

Maybe they didn't want to have a piece of hard plastic with a seat cover on it to sit on all day, or maybe a little bit of trunk space too

or both??

I dont understand why so many people put so much time into the looks of the bike.. *myself included* if you think about it, these bikes are 100% about proformance and guess what? the seat 1 piece or 2 wont really change that! and the 1 piece seat guys... guess what.. makes the bike a BILLION times more comfortable..

Now i did the seat swap from the bananna to the 2 piece but half the time im riding on 200+ mile trips i regret the hell out of it. there is just NO compareing the two.. the 2 piece feels like sitting on a piece of wood.

so less h8 guys on the nanna.. some people ride their bike for other people to go ohhh!! ..

there are still real riders out here that want proformance over all.. and the nana is by far better in every way in that reguard.

Actually I have more storage space now than with the nana seat. And the seat isnt that uncomfortable compared to the nana seat. Is a tad harder tho. But alot easier to move on n off of in the twisties than the nana seat.

emm performance n comfort dont go together. If you cruise around town or on the hwy mostly yes the nana is more comfortable. In the mountains or even the track the split seat will perform better. All depends on riding styles. I love my split seat over than nana seat in all aspects, looks/function/and performance. How often do you ppl that need a pillow to sit on go out n ride for more than a hour or two?? If you ride more you will get use to it. Just a lil FYI.

I love my nana seat even though I agree it doesn't look too great.  My g/f also likes it, and I ride with her pretty often so it makes sense for us 2-up riders to have the extra comfort :-)

The RR simply hurt my neck and wrists (rode A 1kRR a few times before I got my bike), 44 years of abuse takes its toll on your body, but I like the RR alot, but it just didn't work for me.

Performance and comfort dont go together? try telling any high end car manufacture that rofl...

anyway yeah the diffrence on the "track from the split seat and a 2 piece is laughable at best.. unless you ride for Monster or Honda or somthing... you dont have the skill to find the diffrence in the weight of the seat and as far as the diffrent squishieness well.. you said it yourself.. the more you ride you get used to it..

i converted my bananna into the 2piece so it's not like im on your side.. im just tired of people hating on people with banannas just because its "cool  2 have one seat"

bananna seat also = Always ready to take a girl out vs =\ with the seat cowl i always ride with now.

Oh I havent hated on it lol. And cars are diff that bikes. And I said nuttin about weight (someone else might have) but I agree 99% of us wouldnt notice the weight difference in most of what we do to our bikes lol. I did my swap because I prefer the look, and for what I do with my bike the split seat works better for me. I give 2 turds what anyone else things of my bike as long as I like it

because F4i's are the SH**. and the katana cant come close to competing with the F4i... its not even a comparison...

that statement is almost an insult... lol
