fireblade master cylinder on a 600RR

anyone upgraded their CBR600RR master cylinder to a fireblade master cylinder?

if your wondering why? I just thought it looks better and thats the only reason.

I am gonna do it in the next couple of weeks time. Was wondering if anyones done it that might be able to give some advice.

Hope you got some 1000RR brake lines too, your going to need them.

If you're going to do it, why not just do it right the first time and run a Brembo 19 x 18 master, looks AND works way better than the 1000RR master (use the 1000RR lines for this one too).

not sure why you'd call this an upgrade ???  A fireblades mc isn't very different in performance to the 600RR's.
 
Anyway, I went to a Brembo master cylinder (which has similar logisitics to the fireblade).  You'll need to find a way to mount the remote resevoir.

thanks guys for the input, just want it to look better than the black plastic case. I have been toying with the idea of a brembo set up. Still thinking. was gonna change all the lines to SS goodridge ones at the same time. getting Pazzo levers as well and replacing all the fairing bolts to black anodised.

well cost doesn't seem like an issue at all....so i would forget the fireblade MC and get the brembo!!!!!!!

I wouldnt say money isnt an issue. If it aint broke dont fix it as they say but everything can be improved or tweaked to just the way you like it. Just see it as I am decorating the inside of my house. I personally think that the black little box master cyclinder looks ugly and want to remove it, thats. But the Brembo option looks pretty attractive.

Just been looking around and I see brembo master cyclinders on there own. Can I just get those and just replace my standard MC?

that's what you do...get the brembo and that set up replaces your whole MC that you have on your bike...
 
if money is somewhat of an issue, i'd hold off on the CRGs and get the brembo first.
you'll need the pee cup (resevoir) too.
 

I think thats what I would do. I go my friend thinking about it as well on his GSXR 600.

hey...i got another idea then!!!!! if your friend is thinking about doing it...have him get the brembo...and you take his zuk 600 MC!!!!!! you have your radial MC that looks pimp and easier for maintenance, no stupid stripped bolts anymore, and you can get the CRG's too!
it's a direct bolt on...depending on what year he has. just route thing lines to fit.
