One question I have and I know it was probably already posted but I can not find it. I have just mounted F.E. kit on my 061kRR today and it looks freaking great!!!!!! Now I look at the beast and I do not like those front stock turn signal. Has any one of you mounted flush mount turn signal on your 06 model and if so where did you got them from??? I am desperate to change those stock ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watsen Design is what I used. Here are some pics, not specifically of the front signals, but you can see them pretty good:

Thanks so far for the reply. I went to the website and looked at them. The look awesome in you bike. What I like is that I can order them in blue since my bike is blue/yellow.

OldFatGuy,
If you care it looks like your Watsen front signals were meant for the 04/05 1000RR's. Watsen makes a spacer for the 06 that pushes the signal out a few mm's because the 06 plastics, where the front signals mount, are more deeply recessed. If you want you might be able to call Watsen and see if they will send you the spacers to push them out a bit.

Actually I just ordered the Hotbodies flushmounts from a seller on eBay...I'll post pics when I get them on. It's funny that you noticed how much you did not like the stock front signals after you put on your FE. This is exactly what I realized too last weekend...and I ordered flushmount right away....
Now...wouldn't you know it...the freakin' mirrors are looking ugly to me

How would some trick bar end mirrors look? I saw some on a ZX10 and it was very sporty.
Just a matter of finding the right ones I suppose.
The Watsen flush mounts are also supper hot. When I found out that if your stock front turn signals get bumped hard your fairing will break, that was all I needed to know before I spent the quid on my orange Watsens and I couldn't be happier with them. They are real attention getters too. People are always saying how trick they look and want to know where I got them cause you don't see them every day like the others.
Hey! Who put the ad in my thread?

I talked to Brad at Superbikesupply.com about the Protons. I had protons on my F4i and really like them. Apparently the socket where the front signals sit is a little deeper than previous years. I guess the '05 and prior Protons will work on an '06, but I've been told that since the hole is deeper they almost look recessed. Proton is supposed to have the updates done for '06 models within a month or so, so I'm waiting for them.

I installed HB fluch mount LEDs, They look great, however, They cannot really be seen head on. So I bought flexible LED strips and wired them up to my blinkers. I used double stick tape to fasten them to the plastic on each side of the radiator facing north so they can be seen from the front. The picture suggests the LEDs arent too bright, the LEDs are brighter in "real life".
I will probably drill and fasten them better later on, I just hate the thought of taking a drill bit to a 2006 CBR1000 that has 236 miles on it!
here is a pic...any suggestions or comments?

I installed the Hotboddies myself. Used the spacers on the outside to bring the blinkers closer to the outside, almost flush. You can see them from the front, but not overly visible except at night. Like the idea of the LED strips on the front. Can you post some close ups?
Also replaced the flasher relay with a Motrax, you can buy for $20 at Cycle Gear. Easy install, swap the old for the new, located on the left side, middle fairing.

I used double stick tape cuz i didnt want it permanent yet. I'm not sure if I like it, I think Im gonna move them down to where the fairing isnt curved. If I like it, ill drill a hole for the wires instead of pinching the wires between the 2 plastic pieces.

I like it! How much were the LED strips? Where'd you get them?

No cutting, The brackets seem to be very short. Where they will mount is just under the corner of the fairing.

That looks sweet, 1BADCBRK1!!!
Can you post a picture from the rear?
Is it very complicated to switch the OEM for these ones (I have no knowledge at all in electronics)?
I think you have to replace a relay for the blinking?
Again, gorgeous bike!
