I just bought my first CBR. Great Bike! I have put under 200 miles on it but my fork seals were leaking oil onto my brakes so I decided to replace the seals before I ride it anymore. I ordered a service manual but it hasn't come in yet.
I replaced the right seal last night. The left fork has a lever attached to the brake caliper bracket. Does this effect dampening to prevent dive under heavy braking?
Do I need to pull this before pulling the fork tube?
Right fork 12.2 oz ?
Left fork 12.5 oz ? Are these correct.
Thanks!

Yes, it is the anti dive piston. The fluid fill levels are correct. Since the anti dive is on the left it takes the extra .03oz. The factory manual also says to pump the shocks, after filling and before putting the spring assemblies back in, a couple of times and let the fluid stabilize. Then visually check to see if the levels are correct. Finally makes sure and not to tighten the fork tube cap until finished, then fill with air.
I can scan this crap in and e-mail if you want.

Thanks Drakito,
The service manual came today. I finished both seals & replaced the spark plugs. Tomorrow I'm gonna sync the carbs and take it for a long ride.
