Hey, guys. I'm not sure how I found this place, but I joined up. I've got a '05 CBR1000RR Repsol and an '03 RC51 sitting in the garage, waiting for a semi-warm day (like when the ground's not frozen!)

Hello & welcome to the boards. Definatly post some pics of your bikes up. So since i'm looking at purchasing one of those two bikes in the future, which one do you like better? Is one a track only or are they both street bikes?

Well, they're both sportbikes, that's about it.

The RC feels heavier, doesn't flick back and forth as easily as the RR, and I like the suspension on the RR better than the RC. I feel like I'm "in" the RC51 as opposed to "on" the CBR if ya know what I mean. The RC51 is like it's on rails in a corner, very confidence-inspiring. With time, I'll probably feel the same way about the RR, 'cause I love the way it handles, too. I love the sound of the RR with its twin-outlet Micron, but I've got Microns on the RC51 (with a PCIIIr), so it sounds pretty good, too. I hope I never have to choose to get rid of one of 'em, 'cause that would be a tough decision! Oh, and they're both for the street-the closest track is Mid-Ohio (three hours away).

Welcome to the board! Tough decision you have to make when it's riding time -- hmmmm, RR or 51? Know what ya mean about being "on" the RR. After a couple of red hot sweepers you'll really appreciate that -- easier to adjust body position in a curve. Ya know, last second "Oh $hit I went in too fast" kinda thang
