Frame slider

i had a ? about these frame sliders i saw on ebay. one what brand are they? where else can you buy them? also if they are for a 1000 rr will they fit a 600 rr please let me know what you think of the ad thanks

Sorry dude, those aren't frame sliders...they're swing arm spools! They double as a slider to protect the swing arm, but mainly are a pivot point for a rear stand.

The bolt size for a 600rr is 8mm, but I don't know if a 1000rr will fit a 600?

fret, check out the ad again. It's listing for a complete set. Bar ends, frame sliders and swingarm sliders. Look at the subtitle under the main title and the pics at the bottom. They are only for the 1000RR. This is a good seller, I've bought from this store before and they good customer service. You can contact them and they will be back with you usually in a day or two with any question about the item. I've seen the no-cut sliders installed, I just wouldn't trust them because the design is weaker than regular sliders. I wasn't a fan of cutting my fairing, but then I got over it. If it's done right (using a laser level) they look good. Plus, mine just saved my fairing from a simple standing drop.

Ughh, you think me read words on add...caveman not read...me look at picture

with eGay.... i always read everything, twice. And he does have the pictures of the no-cut sliders at the bottom of the add. I thought the same thing when I first read the ad, then I noticed the price.... kinda using sandpaper on some for billing $165 for a set of swingarm spools.

yes you do for.... it's not that bad. I read a simple trick on here to use a laser level that almost eliminates mistakes. I thought about it hard, why cut a hole in the plastic, isn't that damage? Well... I gave in and installed them. I dropped my bike while at a traffic light last Friday.... the $70 investment and small 1 3/4" holes saved me from having to replace any plastic, mirrors, signals and engine covers. Worth every penny. Read the forum I started ( http://www.cbrforum.com/m_29365/tm.htm ) simple mistake happens to all of us and can cost a lot of damage.

i second what doncollins says. sliders saved my plastics, frame, engine covers, etc... from something as simple as laying the bike down at a stop sign. i personaly like the way frame sliders look even if you have to cut plastic. it doesnt detract from the look of the bike cause the slider fills up the hole (or should). its very simple to do with a stand and a laser level. i have the pro-impact frame sliders from lockhart phillips, they kinda feel softer and less dense then the shogun set i tried (wrong hardware so i couldnt install them correctly and took them back) but i dont know if that is real or in my head. i think i may somday change to the vortex ones because i think you can change the puck without having to take the whole slider out with the vortex??? it was kinda a pain to put my plastic back onwith the sliders in.

I've crash tested a set of Yoyodyne sliders in a 30 mph low side and they did exactely what they're suppose to do...saved bike from major damage!

The vortex sliders will let you replace just the puck. On the right side, the mount for the puck is held in place by a pinch bolt. The left side will come off with the puck, but it's easy to remove/replace with the plastic still on.
